We live in a galaxy known as The Milky Way. Our galaxy consists of approximately 4 billion stars. Outside of our Galaxy and in the broader universe lies an approximately 2 trillion more galaxies. The nearest major galaxy to our Milky Way galaxy is the Andromeda Galaxy. The Andromeda Galaxy is approximately 2.5 million light years from earth and consists of approximately 1 trillion stars. It is a huge, beautiful, spiral galaxy that keeps our galaxy company in the vast span of space.
